Andy Batkins

Andrew leads Global Business Development, Capital Markets, and Brokerage for Woodlock. Since co-founding the firm, he has been involved in over $400 million of transactions, raising equity and debt for qualified sponsors and developers while advising on acquisitions and dispositions across asset classes.

His expertise spans multifamily, build-for-rent (BFR), hospitality, and mixed-use projects, where he has structured both private and institutional capital. Known for his ability to uncover unique infill and redevelopment opportunities, Andrew has been a consistent source of proprietary deal flow for Woodlock and its clients.

Andrew’s relationships extend beyond capital providers to include local engineers, architects, attorneys, and consultants. This network, paired with his deep understanding of Charleston’s entitlement process, makes him an invaluable partner in moving projects from concept to completion.

His capital relationships span regional and national banks, debt funds, family offices, private equity, and institutional lenders, allowing him to structure creative and competitive financing solutions. He has executed transactions ranging from $5 million single-asset financings to $50 million-plus programmatic equity placements, giving Woodlock’s clients and partners confidence in his ability to deliver tailored capital solutions with execution certainty.

Elliot Calhoun

Elliot oversees Investments, Acquisitions, Asset Management, and Property Management, while also providing leadership and strategic direction for the company as a whole. Known as a problem-solver, Elliot is the partner that Woodlock’s teams and brokers turn to when navigating complex decisions, ensuring consistency in execution across all divisions.

Under his leadership, Woodlock has assembled a portfolio valued at over $125 million, encompassing approximately 650,000 square feet, 200 tenants, and 13 properties, making the firm one of the largest private commercial owners in the Charleston market.

Elliot has overseen the execution of numerous complex acquisitions and recapitalizations, often under time-sensitive conditions, while maintaining disciplined underwriting standards. Beyond sourcing acquisitions, he drives value creation through tenant repositioning, rent growth initiatives, capital improvement programs, and operational efficiencies, supported by strong reporting and management practices that ensure transparency and accountability to partners and lenders. These efforts have consistently delivered rent growth and value creation exceeding underwriting expectations, reinforcing investor and lender confidence.
